Monday January 12th marked the grand opening of Green Spaces’ expanded shared office space in the RiNo (River North) District. Located at 1368 26th St., Green Spaces is the only green community office space in the city.
Community offices are a popular way for smaller businesses to utilize the benefits of having an office without the overhead typically associated with such a space. With access to conference rooms, office space (walled or open), common areas and shared office equipment, community offices are becoming very popular around Denver.
Green Spaces is unique among shared offices in that they focus specifically on the green community. Their members are businesses that are committed to being green and are certified through the city’s Certifiably Green Denver Program.
Green Spaces now occupies the entire building at the southeast corner of 26th Street and Walnut Street. The additional space allows for nearly 13,000 sq. feet of office space.
With the new expansion comes 11 enclosed offices, 8 pods for teams of 4, a new lounge and two new entrances on Walnut. There is even a green wall where the Green Spaces name is created out of steel and wood and filled with grass and ivy.
In keeping their commitment to being green themselves, Green Spaces is also adding over 160 solar panels to the roof to offset energy use. Two Zipcars and complimentary bike sharing will be made available to member businesses as well as a plethora of other green commitments. Green Spaces also plays host to after hours activities such as yoga, networking, and social events.
If you are a green business in need of office space, there is no better shared workspace in Denver than Green Spaces.
