This Thursday, October 2nd, join the Colorado Photographic Arts Center (CPAC) in a creative culmination of Fashion and Culture. The event will feature a multi-media fashion show and live music, as well as a private exhibition tour with Fashion/Culture exhibition curator and host Natascha Seideneck.
As a member of the CPAC exhibition committee, Seideneck said it was finally time to do something to highlight the significant role fashion plays in the photography industry. And so, the Fashion/Culture exhibit came to life and inspired Thursday’s upcoming Gala event.
“I curated the show to be more about artists interpreting fashion and not focusing so much on its commercial aspects,” the 46-year-old Denverite explained in a CRAVE Magazine interview. For her, the exhibition and Gala event offer more than just entertainment for observers and artists. Most importantly, the showcase aims to increase awareness, support and exposure for the arts while forming stronger connections between a number of creative communities.
“It’s been a great journey, and I have made so many new connections in the community,” Seideneck said. “I am passionate about photography and feel like it’s a bit under-represented in Denver. Every city needs a strong photo center.”
General admission tickets are $30 and include one free drink ticket. VIP tickets can be purchased for $75 providing patrons with second row seating for the fashion show, a gift bag, photo portrait, open bar, and a 1 year CPAC membership valued at $40.
